How to Use the ATS Resume Builder
Templates, live preview, ATS score, PDF export — step-by-step guide.
ToolsBaba ATS Resume Builder is a free online resume maker that runs entirely in your browser. No account, no upload to servers, and no watermark on your PDF. This guide walks through every step from blank page to export-ready resume.
Open ATS Resume Builder →Step 1: Choose a template
Open the template gallery at the top of the builder. Filter by ATS-optimized designs or browse all 21 templates. Each card shows the template name, category, and ATS score. Click to apply — your content stays when you switch.
Step 2: Fill in personal details
- Full name and target role (e.g. Software Engineer)
- Email, phone, and location — required for ATS completeness
- LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolio URL when relevant
- Target keywords from the job posting for real-time keyword scoring
Step 3: Write a strong summary
Add a 2–4 sentence Professional Summary with your role, years of experience, and top skills. Use the Resume Summary Generator if you need ideas, then paste into the builder.
Generate summary →Step 4: Add experience with achievement bullets
- List roles in reverse chronological order
- Start bullets with action verbs: Led, Built, Increased, Delivered
- Include numbers: percentages, revenue, team size, users served
- Mirror keywords from the job description naturally in bullets
Step 5: Skills, education, and extras
- Split technical and soft skills for clarity
- Add education, certifications, projects, languages, and awards
- Use custom sections for publications or volunteer work if needed
Step 6: Check your ATS score
The ATS Score panel updates as you edit. Watch completeness, readability, keyword match, and overall ATS score. Aim for 80+ before exporting. Enable ATS mode for the safest formatting on job portals.
Step 7: Export PDF or print
Click Export PDF for a print-ready A4 file. Use Print Ready for a browser print that matches the live preview. What you see in the preview is what you get — no layout surprises.
